if a critique is done, the editor will provide that feedback to you so you may implement those suggested changes if desired;
we'll help you prepare your final manuscript draft for the editing process;
you'll submit the final draft per our guidelines via email;
once received the editor will edit the text based on US editorial standards -- The Careful Writer, The Elements of Style, The Chicago Manual of Style, Words Into Type, The Elements of Typographical Style, and Miriam-Websters Collegiate Dictionary;
the editor will querie you directly on all content issues;
the editor will "redline" or markup your manuscript and send you a copy of the redline for your approval along with a key of editorial proofer marks;
you may elect to enter all the suggested changes from the redline to your manuscript to save that labor fee if desired;
if you want us to enter the suggested changes to the electronic manuscript, you'll return the approved redlined manuscript with your approvals and stets;
the editor will modify a new version of the manuscript you submitted with the final approved redline changes;
you will receive the newly revised electronic copy of the manuscript;
if you are contracting interior book design and layout, the revised manuscript will be submitted directly to the layout department.
